Apart from screenings of the nominated and award winning films, CMS VATAVARAN organized/co-host several panels, conferences, etc. During the calendar year Jan–Dec 2019 it has done:
CMS VATAVARAN was part of the World Wildlife Day celebrations on March 03, 2019 organized by National Zoological Park in collaboration with UNDP India, , National Museum of Natural History and Wildlife crime Control Bureau, Government of India (WCCB)
CMS VATAVARAN collaborated with A.R.S.D College and Sabyesachi Bharti delivered a lecture to the students on ‘Understanding the power of storytelling in environmental protection.
CMS VATAVARAN collaborated with The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) for the Short Film Competition on Pollution – with emphasis on Air Pollution. The Hon’ble minister Shri Prakash Javadekar announced the ‘Call for Entry’ of the competition on the World Environment Day conference at The Ashok on June 06, 2019. It is an initiative to highlight the sensitive issue of Pollution and indulge young and talented filmmakers to create films that could help spread and sensitize audience about the hazardous effects of pollution on human beings and on nature. Calling Students (School & College), Amateur and Professional Filmmakers to submit entries for the Short Film Competition & Festival, 2019. Films upto 3 Minutes were invited on the given theme “Pollution”.
CMS Vatavaran in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Government of India announced the Call for Entry for the FIRST Short Film Competition & Festival, 2019. The first edition of the Short Film Competition and Festival organized successfully with the theme of “Pollution” during the 10th CMS VATAVARAN International Film Festival and Forum. A total of 345 films were entered in the competition, of which 10 films were awarded.

CMS VATAVARAN was supported MOEF&CC during 14th session of the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations for organizing conference and series of events the India Pavilion. Also CMS VATAVARAN organized a Panel Discussion on “Cold Desertification in the Himalayan Region: Lessons for Adaptation & Mitigation” September 04, 2019 and Green Film Making Workshop on September 06 at the India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida.
CMS VATAVARAN in partnership with IHCAP organized a “National Media Consultation on Climate Change reporting in the Himalayas” from September 21 to 24, 2019 fostering extensive discussions around the journalism and storytelling pertaining to the Himalayan ecosystem. The event took place in New Delhi and Kullu and brought together journalists, reporters, stringers policy framers and change makers – to share their understanding on and around the Himalayas

Two to three venues for main festival and 15 to 20 venues in the travelling edition. Our screening are always public and free for all.
90 to 100 film screening during the main festival and approximately 160 film screening during the tour.
